Use VoiceOver to arrange and edit regions in GarageBand for iPhone
You can use several VoiceOver gestures to arrange and edit regions in GarageBand for iPhone. You can use the Actions rotor option to access most editing functions and additional region settings.

Select a region
Navigate to the region you want to select, turn the VoiceOver rotor to Actions, swipe up or down until you hear “Activate”, then double-tap.
Select multiple regions
Navigate to the additional region you want to select.
Turn the VoiceOver rotor to Actions, swipe up or down until you hear “Add to or Remove from Multi-Selection”, then double-tap.
Deselect a selected region
Navigate to the region you want to deselect.
Turn the VoiceOver rotor to Actions, swipe up or down until you hear “Add to or Remove from Multi-Selection”, then double-tap.
Trim a region
Navigate to the region you want to trim, then select it.
Swipe right until you hear “Left Resize Handle” or “Right Resize Handle” to select the left or right resize handle.
Swipe up or down to move the resize handle to the right or left by one beat.
To move the resize handle in smaller increments, double-tap and hold until you hear three rising tones, then drag up or down.
Split a region
Navigate to the region you want to split, turn the VoiceOver rotor to Actions, swipe up or down until you hear “Split”, then double-tap.
The VoiceOver cursor moves to the Split marker that appears on the region.
To move the Split marker to where you want to split the region, do one of the following:
Move the Split marker right or left to the nearest beat: Swipe up or down.
Move the Split marker in smaller increments: Double-tap and hold until you hear three rising tones, then drag left or right.
Double-tap to split the region at the Split marker.
After you split a region, the VoiceOver cursor remains on the Split marker. If you want to make additional splits, move the Split marker to a new location and repeat step 3.
Move a region
Navigate to the region you want to move, then double-tap to select it.
Swipe right until you hear “Move Region Handle”.
To move the Region, do one of the following:
Move the region right or left to the nearest beat: Swipe up or down.
Move the region in smaller increments: Double-tap and hold until you hear three rising tones, then drag left or right.
Access additional region settings
You can access additional region settings using the Actions rotor option. These settings include Gain, Speed, Looping, Reverse and so on, depending on what kind of region is selected.
Navigate to a region, then double-tap to select it.
Turn the VoiceOver rotor to Actions, swipe up or down until you hear “Settings”, then double-tap.
A window opens containing a list of additional region settings.
Swipe horizontally to navigate through the settings.
To adjust a selected setting, do one of the following:
Adjust a slider: Swipe up or down.
Turn a switch on or off: Double-tap.
Open a menu: Double-tap.
Choose a menu item: Double-tap.
When you’ve finished making changes, navigate to Done, then double-tap.
