Change Files settings in the Apple TV app on Mac
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, use Files settings to set and organize your Media folder.
To change these settings, choose TV > Settings, then click Files.

Media folder location | Change the location of your media folder, where the movies and TV shows you import are stored.

Keep Media folder organized | Automatically move imported videos into folders for the Apple TV app. | ||||||||||
Copy files to Media folder when adding to library | Copy an item to the Media folder when you drag the item to the Apple TV app window or choose File > Import. If you want items to appear in the Apple TV app but also remain in their original location, deselect this checkbox. For example, you can keep home videos imported from DVDs on your computer and save your video files on an external storage device. Pressing and holding the Option key while dragging an item to the Apple TV app window temporarily reverses the current checkbox setting. | ||||||||||
