Turn off Siri Suggestions for Spotlight on Mac
When you turn off Siri Suggestions, Spotlight searches only the contents of your Mac; it no longer searches the web. You can also turn off Location Services for Spotlight.
Turn off Siri Suggestions
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Spotlight in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Go to “Search results,” and in the list, deselect the Siri Suggestions checkbox.
Spotlight searches only the contents of your Mac. Look Up searches only the dictionaries enabled on your Mac.
Turn off Location Services for Siri Suggestions
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Click Location Services, then click Details next to System Services.
Turn off Suggestions & Search.
When you turn off Location Services on your Mac, your precise location won’t be sent to Apple. To deliver relevant suggestions, Apple may use the IP address of your internet connection to approximate your location by matching it to a geographic region. To learn more about how Apple protects your information and lets you choose what you share, click About Location Services & Privacy, or see the Apple Privacy website.
