Restrict access to items in the Apple TV app on Mac
You can restrict access to items in the Apple TV app. These content restrictions are often referred to as parental controls. You can restrict a variety of content and activities, such as:
Purchasing movies and TV shows
Playing movies or TV shows based on content ratings
Playing content identified as explicit
Blocking playback of items from search results for content identified as explicit
In the Apple TV app
on your Mac, choose TV > Preferences, then click Restrictions.If the lock at the bottom left is locked
, click it to unlock a preference pane.Note: If you unlock the pane but options are dimmed, it’s because the Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions are turned on. See Set up content and privacy restrictions in Screen Time on Mac.
Select options to restrict purchasing or subscribing, allowed content types, and other settings.
Click the lock.
