Customize Apple Music on Mac
When you join Apple Music, you can manage several Apple Music settings such as notifications, linked accounts, and which apps can access Apple Music.
Manage notifications
You can receive notifications from Apple Music about things like when your favorite artists release new music and the activity of your friends.
In the Music app on your Mac, choose Account > Notifications.
If you don’t see this option, sign in to Apple Music using your Apple ID.
Select the updates you want to be notified about, then click Done.
Manage how you find friends and linked accounts
In the Music app on your Mac, choose Account > Find Friend Settings.
If you don’t see this option, sign in to Apple Music using your Apple ID.
Do any of the following:
Allow friends to find you by Apple ID: Select the Allow Finding by Apple ID option and friends who have your Apple ID information will see you as a recommended friend.
Allow Apple Music to see your contacts: Select the Contacts on Apple Music option and Apple Music will see your contacts and recommend new friends to you periodically.
Link accounts to Apple Music: Sign in to other accounts (such as Facebook) and Apple Music will recommend new friends to you from those accounts.
Click Done.
Allow third-party apps to access Apple Music
In the Music app on your Mac, choose Account > Apps With Access.
If you don’t see this option, sign in to Apple Music using your Apple ID.
Select any third-party apps listed to give them access to Apple Music, then click Done.
