Talk to your Apple TV
Siri makes interacting with Apple TV easy, fun, and informative. You can search for movies, TV shows, music, or apps; find actors or directors you like; control playback; open your apps; and even ask about sports, weather, and stocks—no matter what’s happening onscreen.
Siri doesn’t talk back to you on Apple TV like it does on iPhone and other devices, but it’ll carry out your request and display the results onscreen.
Set up Recognize My Voice
Siri can recognize the voice associated with the same Apple ID you use on Apple TV and another Apple device. You can set up Recognize My Voice for up to six users on Apple TV.
On an iPhone or iPad, do either of the following:
Set up voice recognition in the Home app on an iPhone or iPad.

Open Settings > Siri & Search, then turn on Listen for “Siri” or “Hey Siri.”
Open Settings
on Apple TV.Go to Users and Accounts, then select a user.
Make sure Recognize My Voice is turned on.
Set up Siri requests through AirPods
If you’re wearing AirPods connected to Apple TV, you can access Siri by simply saying “Hey Siri,” followed by your request.
If you’ve connected AirPods Pro (2nd generation), you have options to choose “Hey Siri,” “Siri,” or both.
Open Settings
on Apple TV.Go to General > Siri, then do either of the following:
AirPods Pro (2nd generation) only: Select Listen on AirPods, then select “Siri” or “Hey Siri” for both options, or “Hey Siri.”
All other AirPods models: Select Listen for “Hey Siri” on AirPods.
Search and control Apple TV with your voice
Press and hold the Siri button
on the Siri Remote and start talking.

Dictate instead of type
Whenever you see a text entry field, you can use your voice instead of using the onscreen keyboard.
Press and hold the Siri button
on the Siri Remote, say the text you want to enter, then release the Siri button. You can even speak individual characters—for example, when entering user names and passwords.For more information, see Use Siri dictation on Apple TV.
Type Siri queries
You can type your queries to Siri instead of using your voice.
