Change a book’s appearance
Unlike a physical book, you can change how your books are shown in the iBooks app. For example, you can choose to see one or two pages at a time or to view books in full screen. Some books also let you change the font, page color, and more.
Change the page view: Open the book, then choose View > Single Page or View > Two Pages.
You can also drag the window’s sides left or right until you see one or two pages.
See books in full-screen view: Click the green full-screen button in the top-left corner. For more information about full-screen view, see Use apps in full screen or Split View.
Change the font size and style: Move the pointer to the top of the book, then click the Appearance button . Click a button to make the font smaller or larger, and choose a font under Book Font.
If the Appearance button isn’t available, you can’t change the book’s font.
Change the page color: Move the pointer to the top of the book, click the Appearance button, then choose White, Sepia, Gray, or Night.
If the page color options aren’t available, you can’t change the book’s page color.
Change paragraph alignment: Choose iBooks > Preferences, click General, then select “Let lines break naturally” or “Justify text.”
Change hyphenation: Choose iBooks > Preferences, click General, then select or deselect “Auto-hyphenate words.”
