Play a Touch Instrument in Live Loops in GarageBand for iPad
You can choose the Touch Instrument for an empty row in the grid. Any cells you record use the Touch Instrument for that row. If you choose an Audio Recorder or Amp Touch Instrument, you can also add loops to empty cells in the grid.
If you choose Drummer as the Touch Instrument for an empty row, a yellow Drummer region is added to the first cell in the row, using the current Drummer settings.
Choose a Touch Instrument for an empty grid row
To create a new, empty row at the bottom of the grid, tap the Add Row button
below the track headers.Tap a cell in an empty row, then tap Instruments.
The Sound browser opens.
Tap the Touch Instrument you want to use.
To return to the Live Loops grid, tap the Live Loops button
in the control bar.
