Arrange items on a Freeform board on Mac
You can arrange items on top of (or behind) other items on your Freeform boards and group them so they’re easier to move around.
Arrange items on top of or behind other items
In the Freeform app on your Mac, click a category in the sidebar, then double-click a board to open it.
If you don’t see the sidebar, choose View > Show Sidebar.
If an item is locked, you need to click the Unlock button before you can align it with another item.
Do any of the following:
Move an item in front of another item: Choose Arrange > Bring Forward to bring the item in front of (on top of) one item or choose Bring to Front to bring the item in front of all items.
Move an item behind another item: Choose Arrange > Send Backward to send the item behind one item, or choose Send to Back to send the item behind all items.
To better align items on a board, you can turn alignment guides and the background dot grid on or off.
Group multiple items to become one unit
In the Freeform app on your Mac, click a category in the sidebar, then double-click a board to open it.
If you don’t see the sidebar, choose View > Show Sidebar.
If an item is locked, you need to click the Unlock button before you can group it with another item.
Choose Arrange > Group.
Tip: You can also click the Arrange Inspector button to group items on the board.
After items are grouped together, you can still format each independently—double-click the item in the group to use the formatting tools.
