Change a Freeform board’s appearance on Mac
You can change the way your Freeform boards appear. This is helpful not only when you’re creating a board but later when you’re showing it to others.
Change how boards are displayed
While browsing, you can view boards as a grid of icons or in a list.
Go to the Freeform app on your Mac.
Do either of the following:
View boards as a grid of thumbnails: Click . Double-click a board to open it.
To go back to grid view after viewing a board, click .
View boards as a list: Click .
See more of a board onscreen and zoom in or out
When you’re viewing a board or showing it to others, you can take advantage of sizing and display options.
Go to the Freeform app on your Mac.
Click a category in the sidebar, then double-click a board to open it.
If you don’t see the sidebar, choose View > Show Sidebar.
Do any of the following:
Remove the sidebar: Choose View > Hide Sidebar.
Enter full screen: Choose View > Enter Full Screen.
Zoom in and out: Click or in the lower-left corner of the board to zoom in or out.
Zoom to specific content: Select items on the board that you want to zoom in to, then choose View > Zoom > Zoom to Selection.
Zoom to see all content in the board onscreen: Choose View > Zoom > Zoom to Fit Content.
Pan around your board: Click and drag the canvas while pressing the Space bar.
You can also use an Apple trackpad or Magic Mouse to use gestures such as pinch and swipe to zoom in on items or move around the board. See Keyboard shortcuts and gestures and View and customize mouse or trackpad gestures.
Hide or show the grid
You can show a grid of gray dots on your board, which allows you to see more easily whether items line up.
Go to the Freeform app on your Mac.
Do one of the following:
Show the dot grid: Click in the bottom-right corner (or choose View > Show Grid).
Hide the dot grid: Click in the bottom-right corner (or choose View > Hide Grid).
Tip: To make edges and points align to the nearest dot on the grid as you resize or move an item, choose View > Snap to Grid.
