Use your Apple ID with iCloud
Your Apple ID is the account you use to access iCloud and all other Apple services. When you sign in to a device with your Apple ID, you have access to all the photos, files and other data you store in iCloud.
Set up your Apple ID to use with iCloud
Everyone should have their own Apple ID. Having your own account ensures that your data remains private. Only you can access your information, make changes or delete your content.
You can create an Apple ID when you set up an Apple device or by going to the Apple ID account website. If you already have one, you can use it to access your iCloud data.
To use many iCloud features, you need to have two-factor authentication set up. See the Apple Support article Two-factor authentication for Apple ID.
To change settings related to your Apple ID, go to the Apple ID account website.
Sign in with your Apple ID
You can access data stored in iCloud on any Apple device where you’re signed in with your Apple ID. You can also access some information in iCloud for Windows on a PC and on iCloud.com. Sign in with the same Apple ID on each device, so you see the same information on each device.
See any of the following:
You can sign in with your exact Apple ID or another email address or phone number on file. If you can’t remember your Apple ID or password, see either of the following Apple Support articles: If you forgot your Apple ID or If you forgot your Apple ID password.
You can also see all the devices that are signed in with your Apple ID. See the Apple Support article Check your Apple ID device list to find where you’re signed in.
If you need more help, see the iCloud Support website and the Apple ID Support website.
