Export and import base station settings in AirPort Utility on Mac
You can export a configuration file from one base station and use it to set up another base station.
Export a configuration file
After you configure a base station, open the AirPort Utility app on your Mac, then choose File > Export Configuration File.
In the dialogue that appears, enter a name and location for the exported file. Optionally select the tick box to encrypt the passwords for more security.
Click Save.
Use the instructions below to use the configuration file on a different base station.
Use a configuration file to set up a base station
Open the AirPort Utility app on your Mac, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
In the graphical overview, select the base station you want to set up, then click Edit. You may need to enter a password for the base station.
Choose File > Import Configuration File, locate the configuration file that you exported, then click Open. Click Update to use the settings on your base station.
