Keychain Access stores passwords for servers, apps, websites, and more so you don’t have to remember them all. When you store the password to a Numbers spreadsheet in your keychain, you don’t have to type the password each time you open the spreadsheet.

For more information about Keychain Access and using a keychain, click the desktop to switch to Finder, choose Help > macOS Help (from the Help menu at the top of your screen), then search for “keychain.”
