Turn on Shared Albums in Photos on Mac
With Shared Albums, you can create albums of photos and videos and easily invite others to view them. The people you invite can view your album from a Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, or Windows device. If they use iCloud, they can like your photos, add comments—and, if you’ve allowed it, even add their own photos and videos to the album. If people you invite don’t use iCloud, they can still see your shared photos and videos if you set up a public website.
To create albums you can share with others, you first turn on Shared Albums.
Note: You can use Shared Albums only with your System Photo Library.
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Choose Photos > Settings, then click iCloud.
Select the Shared Albums checkbox.
To turn off Shared Albums, deselect the checkbox. Even if you turn off Shared Albums on your Mac, you can continue to view and make changes to your shared albums using your other devices that have Shared Albums turned on.
