We had a perfect 10/10 stay with a great night at the royal hall.
Hotel's location was particularly good, keen on the flooring in the main public areas. We had room which had a lounge area, heating and coffee and was nice cozy and well-maintained.

The rooms were very nicely furnished and clean. Very friendly staff. The town of Harrogate was very beautiful.
Unfortunately there was no free parking space for us and we had to park a little further away from the hotel.

Nice, clean and tidy hotel.
Handy for tourist spots.
Food poor and bland over one and three quarter hours to get a three course meal served not enough, staff on for breakfast waiting to be seated, tables piled up with empty plates etc from other peoples breakfast, pretty poor for a hotel, needs standards sorting.

The common rooms, especially the library, were cosy and appealing. We felt comfortable there.
The drain from the shower didn't work properly.

DB&B rate excellent and 3 course dinner was very good.
7.30 start for breakfast is too late for business guests, although we were brought a continental choice in the lounge area earlier when requested.

As a single traveller I found The George Hotel to be ideal for my needs. My room was one of the newly refurbished rooms & was absolutely delightful. It was immaculately clean & well presented. Buffet breakfast was very good & the staff attentive & friendly. The leisure facilities looked very nice but I ran out of time to use them.
Some of the public areas were looking a little tired but the hotel is going through a programme of refurbishment to improve these.
