He stays on the back foot and tries to work the length delivery away to the leg side but it just comes in a touch to beat the inside edge and strike above the knee roll. Would have hit the top of the stumps. 40/1 40.2 to SK Raina, fine catch by Mahela Jayawardene running in and tumbling forward from sweeper cover, Raina had made room and swiped this length ball over cover, it hung in the air for a while, and Jayawardene came in quickly. 276/4 | ||||||||||

This is short and wide, ripe for a cut, but Perera looks to pull it, gets a healthy top edge, and Karn Sharma takes a simple catch at mid-on. 0/1 8.2 to DPMD Jayawardene, Mahela doesn't look happy with this, but this is a pretty good decision. Yadav is full and straight, Jayawardene is deep in the crease, and plays across its line. 5.6 to LD Chandimal, another wicket down. That man at short cover does it. Binny has done well whenever he has pitched the ball up. This is a teasing length. Not the driving length, but it teases Chandimal, who ends up pushing at it well in front of his body. Easy catch for Raina at short cover. 31/2 9.4 to TM Dilshan, Raina is flying at short cover again, and he is coming up with balls in hand. Short of a length, around off, Dilshan looks to work this to leg but is early into the shot. They have ended 13 runs short of Rohit Sharma's score. This match was over long ago.
