ROMANTIC HOLIDAY IN THE SEYCHELLES

What you need for a romantic holiday in the Seychelles

Things to know about a romantic holiday on the Seychelles:

Your Romantic Holiday in the Seychelles

No matter where you stay, why not start the day with a delicious "Seychelles Breakfast", fresh fruit, orange juice and perhaps a glass of champagne?

If you haven't already, why not hire a car and set off with your loved one to explore Mahé? Take in the lively capital of Victoria and watch the hustle and bustle as you stroll through the narrow streets. Various small souvenir shops sell pretty souvenirs and handicrafts, but you can also buy locally made jewellery in jewellery shops nearby. In between, you can enjoy a cappuccino in the restaurant next to the Clock Tower. From here you can watch the city go by.

From Victoria you drive along the Sans Souci Road into the mountainous regions. Soon you will feel the air cool down, the road winds higher and higher in serpentines, revealing fantastic views. At the summit, turn right to Mission Lodge, a beautiful viewpoint over the west coast of Mahé. Here lie the ruins of the first school for slave children. Take your time and enjoy the tranquillity far from the hustle and bustle. When you have had your fill of the surroundings, continue over the mountain to the other side, past the tea plantation and even further down, there are again beautiful views of Mahé.

Romantic holiday on the beaches of the Seychelles

When you reach the coastal road, turn left past the Mahé Beach Hotel until you reach Grande Anse beach. The mostly deserted, powder-soft beach invites you to take an extended beach walk. If you continue along the coast, you will come to Anse a La Mouche Bay, wonderful for swimming and relaxing. You can have a refreshment at the Anchor Café.

What you should definitely try is the restaurant Julien's in Anse Soleil. The area here is not only wonderful for swimming, but is also one of the most beautiful beaches on Mahé. Soak up the ambience, the glorious sunset and the crashing waves before enjoying deliciously prepared seafood at Julien's. The perfect place to end the day.

If you are still in the mood, for evening entertainment, there is the option of a casino visit at the nearby casino (long trousers required for gentlemen) or in Beau Vallon, on the other side of the Island.
