Under the tropical blue sky, the Seychellois celebrate exuberantly and joyfully. Since the majority of Seychellois are Roman Catholic, the Religion practised, Christian holidays dominate the annual festive calendar of the locals, but secular festivals and events also have their fixed place.

Music and dance are closely linked to the local culture and cannot be missed at any festival in the Seychelles. Local and international rhythms resound in the streets, and not only at the weekend.

After morning mass (which Seychelles women take particularly seriously), there is often a Creole picnic on the beach, barbecues and dancing to music.
The year-round tropical temperatures are of course the best prerequisites for a lively party culture, which also expresses itself in somewhat noisy barbecues on the beach, campfires and open-air dance evenings.
