Hospital & Clinics in the Seychelles
There are 13 health centres and 6 hospitals in Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. They offer a wide range of services such as medical counselling, family planning, maternity planning, antenatal care, oral health, dressing, screening and physiotherapy. Victoria Hospital also offers various specialised services such as radiology, ophthalmology, chemotherapy as well as surgical procedures.
A new, modern clinic was inaugurated in Beau Vallon in April 2011. The Women and Family Hospital on Mahé in the district of Perseverance has also been operating since August 2017. In 2018 the Anse Royale Hospital was rebuilt, including a quarantine station for corona symptoms.
The largest hospital is in Victoria, it was newly expanded in 2015. Medical care and standby service are also available on request through the accommodation or island resorts.

The fees for private clinics/private doctors vary. Medical on-call service costs between SCR350 and SCR1000. A visit to a doctor in a local practice costs between SCR150 to SCR500 for tourists.
State medical practices can be found in most districts, a consultation with a doctor costs here for a tourist SCR300.
There are also several dentists on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. The clinics are generally open from 8.00 to 16.00 hours, patient visits can be arranged by the hotel on request. The average cost of a dental examination or extraction for example is SCR500 for public dental clinics and SCR1000 for private clinics.
