The Seychelles are truly a living natural history museum and home to some of the rarest species of flora & fauna on earth. Almost 50% of the land mass is protected. Seychelles boasts a far-sighted conservation policy that has resulted in an enviable level of protection for the environment and its various ecosystems.

The legendary Coco-de-Mer has the largest seed in the world and stands out for its unusual double-nut shape. Then there is the jellyfish tree, of which only 8 specimens have survived, the paradise flycatcher, a small bird species or the Seychelles warbler.

The Seychelles are home to 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Aldabra, the largest raised coral atoll in the world and the Vallée de Mai on Praslin, once believed to be the Garden of Eden.

From the smallest frog to the heaviest turtle and the only flightless bird in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles provide habitat for a number of fantastic and endemic species in the midst of breathtaking nature.
