At Alphonse, which is 400 kilometres southwest of Mahé is a triangular coral atoll with sides of just over one kilometre. The island resort, which is currently being renovated, offers spacious comfort in 25 air-conditioned thatched chalets and 5 luxurious villas. During the renovation, the hotel will be used exclusively during the fishing season from October to April as accommodation for week-long fishing excursions offered from Mahé. The excursions also take the maximum of ten participants to the fishing grounds of the neighbouring lagoons of St. François and Bijoutier.
