The room was large and had a comfortable bed
The building had a cool industrial-style design. Staff members were consistently courteous. - We appreciated the complimentary wake-up service and ironing assistance

Easy to find, close to the stores and eateries, quiet location, clean. The room had a patio. Bathroom was nice.
Synthetic pillows and old blankets over the sheets (like in most of the motels) - I just didn't have good enough sleep. Food in the fridge froze. Office was suppose to open only at 8am, so we didn't get breakfast coffee (not a big loss anyway) because we left early.

The staff at Seaside Inn Monterey were lovely, the rooms were clean and the grounds were nicely kept with lovely blooming roses. We were initially a little wary as the area seemed to be fairly industrial but it was perfectly safe, comfortable and quiet. Lots of tv channels, a supermarket within walking distance, microwave, mini fridge and good free wifi. We stayed for one night after driving Highway 1 as a stop over on the way to San Francisco. Highly recommend as a good value stop over point with easy access to Carmel & Big Sur and San Francisco.

1. The location isn't in the best area, but it's close to a lot of the conveniences of Seaside, ethnic restaurants to coffeehouses to big chain store locations to the running/walk oath. 2. The bathroom was new and clean. The refrigerator was clean and cold 3. The Wifi worked well. 4. The manager was friendly and provided an extra blanket when requested.
1. The outside stairwell was dirty, 2. The hot water in the shower wasn't particularly hot. 3. The bedspread was old and one of the blankets had a burn mark. 3. The office wasn't open in the morning at 8 a.m. as stated.

Staff was courteous. Room was very clean, better than expected. Patio was nice-made small room with 2 children seem bigger.
Only downfall was no coffee in room or available until 8:00 am. Inconvenient for me as an early riser.

Location is excellent to visit the Monterey area. Owners are nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and have all the basic needs. Appliances, bath tube and toilet work perfectly. Carpet floors in perfect condition. Bathroom seems like new. They have free wifi (although the code we were provided did not work). Breakfast is basic, nothing fancy, but gets you going. In general a good impression. Would definitely come back.
Although I see this as a very minor issue, they need to seriously change the pillows. They are very thin and the four of us (booked 2 rooms for 2 couples) had issues to get good sleep because of neck pain. That can make a whole difference in getting good rest.

This place was by far the cleanest place we have stayed in so far on our trip. The lady was very welcoming and the room a good size. When the internet connection wasn't great they lent us a lead to plug in which was great. We wish we could have stayed longer but they were all booked up the following night.
Parking was a little full but there is an additional area just near the back that everybody wasn't using!

The room was a remodeled smoking room so it was still hard to breathe for a non smoker
