The staff here are really friendly and pleasant in general.

location close to a central place, near a variety of places such excellent restaurants, bars with good nocturne life and landmarks such mercado dos lavradores, amiral reis park and the market and bus station. for tea or coffee visit pau de canela lda nearby. decent food at breakfast served in the bar.

Perfect location, next to an old town. Easy walk to many cafés and bars.

The charming decoration of this hotel added a special touch to my stay. The vintage furniture and cozy common areas made me feel right at home. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was impressive, with wide corridors and handrails in the hallways. It made getting around much easier for someone like me.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the staff could be a bit more attentive. Sometimes it felt like the children working there were a bit too busy to give their full attention to the guests.

The location is perfect, right in the center of Funchal. The staff was very helpfull, providing any kind of help and information. The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean.

The furniture and the overall look was rather old; but still in good shape, and the bed was very comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel about 8 nights with a small kid and we were really satisfied there. Room was cleaned every day, each day fresh towels, stuff friendly and helpful. Great location in center of Funchal right in front of fish market and vegetable market, very good "take away" food So Frango and all other shopping centers very closed. Street is a bit noisy, but we didn't mind this at all, because we like the sounds of the city:) Great price after all.

Residencial Funchal in Funchal is clean, with amiable and excellent staff. the service is great, and the location is perfect and amazing, being very close to the center, next to the market and the promenade. the hotel's restaurant is also relatively nearby.

Very nice atmosphere. The hotel has its own spirit/ The staff and location were more that just excellent, they were extremely great. This could be said about all people in Funshal. Positive and touristfriendly. Very nice place to stay and spend a holiday on Madeira.

The location in the centre of Funchal was great, not in the five star hotel and resorts area... The two brothers at the reception at daytime were very kind and helped us in getting around.

The night receptionist didn't speak anything else than portuguese. For me it wasn't a problem but with the market just in front of us it was rather noisy in the morning.

I had a fantastic stay at a clean and spacious apartment in a great location. The apartment had a balcony and two bathrooms, which was a pleasant surprise. There were also grocery stores and restaurants nearby, making it convenient for dining options. The staff was friendly and the Wi-Fi was free, which was not mentioned in the description. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This hotel is for people who like the hustle & bustle in the city, it is not a typical luxury hotel but the staff and the locals are great and give the place character!
