Our room had a nice view over the mountains.
Reavers Lodge was like a youth camp, with dozens of drunken teenagers who made noise until after 3am. All other guests felt out of place. Several guests complained about the noise to the staff, who promised to do something but did not. In fact, one staff member joined the teenagers drinking. Even apart from the noise, Reavers Lodge does not deserve 3.5 stars. The bed was suspended on top of the living area with a window (no curtain) which can be looked into by other guests. We found a cockroach in bed the first night. The breakfast is very basic with just bread, milk and cereals.

I recently stayed at a lovely lodge in Queenstown. My purpose was to explore the area and I stayed for a few nights. The lodge had a great breakfast with a variety of options and stunning views. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The shower had good water pressure and the rooms were cozy once the radiators were turned on. It was a good value for the price if you don't mind some noise.
Would recommend this hotel.

Facing the Remarkables, the view is great. General manager Dean is great! He gave me good introduction of Queenstown, and free pizza, after I complained that I can use my booked room because it has not been cleaned at might night.
My room was not cleaned and not usable even in might night. Really frustrating. But Dean arranged free pizza for me. I am happy with that, though I prefer a clean room in time.

Nothing, we had to change our plans 2 weeks before our visit and as this was under 30 days notice we were not entitled to any refund. This was in their cancellation policy, but as we had fully intended to stay for the whole time booked we had not read it. we just thought it would be the same as everywhere else. I spend in excess of 40 nights in hotels / motels each year, and this was the first time I have ever come across this
We had to wait for service when we first arrived, upon entering our room we found there was only a half roll of toilet paper and no spare, when flushed the toilet continued to run and we notified reception who said they would get it fixed. When we returned 4 hours later it had been fixed but continued to run still. We were then allocated another room, but the guy who showed us it attempted to straighten the bed covers as they looked like they had been slept in. This new room overlooked an inner courtyard where there was a barbeque/ spa party going on until late. I had run the Kepler Challenge the day before and was looking for reat but got the opposite.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room had everything we needed and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - just a short walk away from the town center.
More breakfast choices would have been nice, like a variety of pastries or some fresh fruit.

The price.
The double bed which opened out from under the couch had broken springs and sank in the middle. We couldn't sleep comfortably that night. The basin in the toilet has a glass panel at head height just above the sink. So one can't wash one's face without hitting the panel. There was no milk in the fridge for our morning tea, although there was everything else -- cups, sugar, tea and coffee. We took a room with a loft. I didn't realise it was standard for the loft roof to be three feet above the bed.

The spa and kitchen/ lounge facilities and the vending machines. Private bathroom
The extremely squeaky bunks. They squealed really loudly everytime someone moved when on them. The steep hill wasn't the best

I had a great stay at Reavers Lodge. The friendly welcome made me feel instantly at ease. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a tidy ensuite. The location was perfect, with a good view from the restaurant. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

- rooms were quite cold, but not as bad as the shared room / kitchen, all windows were constantly open and no heating was available - the room is very small, especially for 4 people: 2 stacked beds that are in dire need of some lube.

Reavers Lodge was great value for the money, with comfortable beds and modern facilities. The location offered stunning views, even though it was a bit of a walk uphill from the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
More breakfast choices would have made the experience even better.
