Bloomberg Radio has announced it will launch on Beasley Media’s 1330 WRCA Watertown/106.1 W291CZ Boston as well as 92.9 WBOS-HD2 Brookline on Tuesday, July 4 at 12:00pm.
Bloomberg Radio currently airs in the Boston market on iHeartMedia’s 1200 WXKS Newton/94.5 WJMN-HD2 and that will also continue for the next few months. Bloomberg Radio also airs on a 24/7 basis on its owned 1130 WBBR New York, CBS Radio’s 99.1 WDCH Bowie MD/Washington DC, and iHeartMedia’s 960 KNEW San Francisco.
1330 WRCA dropped its brokered lineup at the end of 2016 to prepare to relaunch with the 106.1 translator. W291CZ signed-on in May and both stations have been rebroadcasting the Irish programming of 96.9 WBQT-HD2 as filler since.
Beasley purchased what would become W291CZ from Radio One in July 2016 for $400,000.

What will eventually air on WXKS-1200??
Might iHeart move their talk format of WKOX-1430 back to 1200, perhaps with a national morning show and “Coast To Coast A.M.” moving over from WRKO-680, and put Fox Sports Radio 24/7 fulltime on 1430??
