Greater Media Alternative “Radio 92.9” WBOS Brookline/Boston rebranded this morning as “Alt 92.9“.
The change comes to better represent what the station is and plays. It had previously been branding itself with the very broad “90s To Now”. To help solidify the changes, Alt 92.9 will promote 60 minute commercial-free blocks after every stopset.
Greater Media has solidified the Alternative music position on WBOS-FM by rebranding the station as ALT 92.9 in Boston.
“ALT 92.9 will still deliver Boston’s Best Alternative Music that listeners have come to expect from the dial position and bring a solid identity to both the format and the station,” said Greater Media Boston Vice President and Market Manager Mary Menna.
“We are passionate about delivering our content in a non-cluttered, non-controversial, pure play music environment by playing the most music,” said WBOS-FM Program Director Ken West. “In doing so, we are offering the ALT 92.9 Promise: 60 Minutes of Music after every commercial break.”
“The station’s new branding, image and logo will exemplify the fresh programming of ALT 92.9 and appeal to the active lifestyle of our audience,” said ALT 92.9’s new Marketing Director Sean Doherty.
