Writer & Broadcaster Germaine Greer, and Andrew Neil, Publisher & Broadcaster, reviewed the Sunday news papers with Huw Edwards. In an exclusive interview with a senior member of the Obama team, Huw Edwards spoke to Barack Obama's foreign policy advisor Greg Craig, about various aspects of Obama's foreign policy including the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, the intractable problem of the Middle East, climate change, and finally, on a personal note, the reasons why he defected from the Clinton camp to support Barack Obama. Huw spoke to Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Deputy Leader of the SNP, about the significance of her party's recent bye-election victory in East Glasgow. Harriet Harmon MP, Deputy Leader of Labour Party, spoke to Huw about the current problems faced by Mr. Brown and the Labour party especially the whispering campaign concerning a leadership challenge to Gordon Brown. He also asked how the government will combat the current economic crisis facing the country. Music Producer Hal Willner, and Singer Martha Wainwright spoke to Huw about the rise in popularity of the Sea Shanty and the diverse group of singers who currently sing them. William Hague MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary, spoke to Huw about the recent UK visit of Barack Obama and its implications for his party. Finally, Huw asked Mr. Hague about the government's handling of the current economic crisis! Written by Mark Smith See less
