Madden, heir to an estate, and realizes that the man is in his employ. Sehultz at once communicates with the lawyers. He learns that the inheritance $50,000 and for revealing the whereabouts of the heir he will receive a handsome reward. Schultz offers to give Mike a contract for five years at regular wages, and when Pete is included in the deal Mike agrees and signs up. The contract states that should either party break the contract he will forfeit $5,000. The lawyer arrives and delivers the inheritance to Mike. Schultz now thinks the two workers will quit and he will get the forfeit, but they decide to remain and get fired, thus getting the money themselves. That night the pals celebrate and show up at the shop the next morning fagged out. They make such a mess of the work that their employer is forced to discharge them and thus forfeits the $5,000.
