- A user with enabled Help panel edits an article - the Help panel is present with the option (the link) "Disable the help panel"
- A user clicks on the link and unchecks the box for Enable the editor help panel in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing. Saves the change.
- The Help panel is still present on Suggested edits articles. The Help panel won't be present on articles (and other namespaces) when editing

With T284088: Merge preference "Enable the editor help panel" with "Display the newcomer homepage" together, the help panel is shown whenever the user is doing a newcomer task (regardless of the preference). Perhaps the "Disable the help panel" link should be hidden if the user doesn't have it enabled in the first place?
+1 Let's remove that link on the help panel when it is shown in "guidance mode" on Suggested edits tasks.
