About MERB


The Merit Employee Relations Board (MERB) was created pursuant to 29 Del.C. §5906 in 1994.

MERB is responsible for the timely disposition of State of Delaware Merit employee grievance and maintenance review classification appeals.

MERB is also empowered to request the Secretary of the Department of Human Resources investigate problems or complaints arising from the implementation of the Merit System and the effect of merit policies and procedures on employees in the classified service.
