David S. Cohen (born 11 April 1959; age 65) co-wrote the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine third season episode "Destiny" with Martin A. Winer. He also rewrote the second season episode "Crossover" for which he received no credit. (Screen Plays: How 25 Scripts Made it to a Theater Near You - For Better or Worse)

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he is the brother of screenwriter Steve Cohen. Cohen also wrote the narration for the television documentary Hollywood Remembers Walter Matthau (2001), which featured an interview with Brent Spiner.

In 2008, Cohen published Screen Plays: How 25 Scripts Made it to a Theater Near You - For Better or Worse, in which he partly recalls his work on DS9. Cohen is also the author of Terminator Genisys: Resetting the Future, Pacific Rim: Man, Machines & Monsters and the co-author of Die Hard: The Ultimate Visual History.

Cohen receives an acknowledgement in The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition by Ira Steven Behr.
