Future of mere murmurs
The nightly writing of an adventure
With an obscure allure
Words that slip,
One, two, three drops on the napkin,
He grabs her; she hits him,
Next scene.
Then we start to brawl, to separate,
Departure for a thriller style, long nightmare,
Wide boulevard for a snafu tangle.
These are the remnants of a juvenile headiness
Of growing old to a humbling tenderness
To sadness.

I've tried to keep some of the rhyme scheme, but I'm not sure that in so doing, I've retained the little sense inherent to the track in the translation. Suggestions for improvement are therefore welcome
