ITiCSE 2024 is going to happen in Milan, Italy.
Important notice
Contrary to previous announcements, ITiCSE main conference will be held at Casa Cardinale Schuster, in Via Sant’Antonio 5. The change of venue became necessary because the previously allocated spaces are no longer usable due to their occupation by our university’s students, mobilized against the war in the Gaza Strip. The new location is very close to the original one (2 minutes walk).
The Working Groups and the Doctoral Consortium will be held in the already planned location, at the Computer Science Department, in Via Celoria 18.
Locations
ITiCSE 2024 events will be located in different places: working groups and the doctoral consortium (July 5–7) will be in the “Città Studi” campus (north-east of the town) and the main conference at Casa Cardinale Schuster in Via Sant’Antonio 5 (close to the “Duomo”, the geometrical center of the town).
Main conference
The main conference (July 8–10) will be hosted by Casa Cardinale Schuster, via Sant’Antonio 5, 20133 Milan. The closest metro station is Duomo, on the red line (M1) and the yellow line (M3).
Working Groups and Doctoral Consortium
Working groups (July 5–7) and the doctoral consortium (July 6–7) will be hosted by the Department of Computer Science, Via Celoria 18, 20146 Milan. The closest metro station is Piola, on the green line (M2).
Reaching Milan
Milan is connected to the rest of Europe by several roads and train lines. Moreover it is served by three international airports:
- Linate (LIN) city airport (20 min from city center), connected by the blue metro line M4 (2.20 EUR)
- Malpensa (MXP) 1 hour by train (13.00 EUR) or bus (10.00 EUR)
- Bergamo – Orio al Serio (BGY) 1 hour by bus (option 1 12.00 EUR, option 2 10.00 EUR)
Taxis are expensive and not always immediately available (expect to pay around 30 EUR from Linate and 110-120 EUR from the other airports). Here are details on taxi fares in Milan. However, public transportation usually works well. Detailed information about how to get in Milan is available at: https://www.yesmilano.it/en/traveller-information/how-get-milano
