Problem statement:
Child neglect is a confirmed or suspected egregious act by a parent that deprives a child’s basic needs and thereby results in physical or psychological harm.
Neglect may be considered when a parent presents as: Indifferent to child, Apathic, Irrational, Inadequate supervision, resulting in failing to provide child’s safety, educational, emotional, medical, and physical needs.
Community level of knowledge regarding this issue is so important for the prevention of this issue.

Objectives:
1- To increase the awareness of 300 parent about the child neglect in Hadhramout-Yemen during child world day.
2-To increase the awareness of 300 parents in Hadhramout-Yemen about the children’s optimism, self-esteem, intelligence, creativity, and independence which enhance their coping skills in the face of adversity during the child world day.
3- To increase the awareness of 1000 people in Hadhramout-Yemen about the child neglect in social media platform during 5 days.
Indicators of Success:
Objective 1 :
indicator: 150 parent will interact.
Objective 2 :
Indicator: 150 parent will interact.
Objective 3 :
Indicator: over 500 person will interact in the social media paltform.
Methodology:
1- Identify the problem.
2- Set the vision, goals, and objectives of the activity.
3- Sending the call for participation for the members of all SCs.
4- Divide members into groups, each group would take a different subject to work on:
A- First group on the online awareness and the content regarding child neglect.
B- Second group on organizing the activity which will take place on the child world day at 20th of Nov.
5- Start creating materials that would be used in the activity.
Plans for evaluation:
– Through simple questionnaire would be filled by the people in the child world day at 20th of Nov. and throughout the calculations of people’s interactions in the different social media platforms.
