Breakfast here was great - they had a good selection with coffee, tea, breads, pastries, and yogurt. Plus, you can enjoy the ocean views from this remote location! 🌊

We appreciated savoury and delicious breakfasts and unforgettable views!
Do recommend this place and would stay here again. The stay here was really really nice for One night. The hotel was in the remote setting right on the beach. Besides, it was near airport in the morning, the mountains and sea, and town center.

The location
No television, no radio, no clock, room was very small, the mattresses were too soft.

Everything was clean, fabulous food, outstanding views, a big room with feather pillows for a peaceful night's sleep at a reasonable price.

Free WiFi.
The bathroom needs to be gutted. Hot water smells strongly of hydrogen sulfide making the entire room smell when hot water is on. Toilet stained. Wooden toilet seat cracked and glued together. Room poorly designed/laid out. Chairs uncomfortable, especially the wooden chair at the desk.

The staff were quite simply fantastic. After a long day, my six-year-old son and I arrived tired and hungry. Excellent food (and a beer) was rapidly produced with no hurry to sort out the formalities. The owner went out of his way to make us welcome, even offering to show us where to collect wild mushrooms from the beach. He went even further, cooking them for us! He was also doing a lot to help other guests find interesting activities "off the beaten track". The receptionist was also exceptionally friendly and full of interesting local information. The room was a bit small but perfectly functional, comfortable and clean.
The location is quite remote, you would need to drive for a few minutes to the nearby town, there is nothing (but a great beach) within walking distance. Not necessarily back if you expect this.

Generally nice location, decent wifi.
Small rooms, low ceilings, no tv, could be cleaner.

It's settled between the sea and the mountains. We had a wonderful night, very relaxing despite the rain. The staff was very kindly, they gave us a lot of information in order to visit historical and natural places nearby. We ate at the restaurant and, considering Iceland prices, it was almost cheap. Delicious meals and refined breakfast. If you have a pc or mobile phone for internet surfing, it's also possible to surf for free.
