We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Amsterdam. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the center of all the attractions and close to shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending great places to eat. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the canal. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. We also appreciated the family atmosphere and the cleanliness of the hotel.
We did experience some cleanliness issues in the room, as we found some underwear under the bed. Despite that, the staff handled the situation well and apologized for the inconvenience.

The location was fantastic! It was super convenient to have a tram stop just a short walk away, and we were able to reach the city center and major attractions within a comfortable walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was also quite good, especially the freshly baked croissants.
They were incredibly steep and scary, especially when trying to carry our luggage up and down. It would have been much better if there was at least a small elevator available.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and were always there to assist us. The receptionist, Lisa, was especially helpful and even allowed us to check in early. The location of the hotel was also perfect, right in the heart of the city center. We were able to easily explore all the main attractions and it was just a short tram ride away from the central station. Additionally, the room was equipped with a Nespresso machine, which was a great perk for coffee lovers like us.
There were a couple of downsides to our stay. the decor of the hotel was quite dated, which was not to our taste.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely fantastic, always friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy for us to explore all the attractions. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and comfortable, and we loved the quirky style of the hotel. The furniture was unique and added to the overall charm. Additionally, the 24/7 bar downstairs and lounge area were a great bonus, allowing us to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
Although we had a great experience overall, there were a few downsides. We also found the access system to be outdated, with keys that didn't feel very secure.

During our stay at Hotel Des Arts, we were delighted by the charming and quaint atmosphere of the boutique hotel. The location was unbeatable, situated right on the main road, just a short walk from Dam Square. We loved the authentic feel of the original brick canal building, which added to the overall ambiance. Our room, although small, was comfortable and featured lovely opentable windows that provided a view of the peaceful rear of the property. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom, although small, was modern with a good shower and hot water.
Although this hotel may not be on par with a luxurious 5-star experience, we would highly recommend Hotel Des Arts for its prime location, welcoming atmosphere, and overall charm. Despite some minor drawbacks, such as narrow stairs and the absence of air conditioning, the positives outweighed these concerns.
