The Utah Jazz have exercised the third-year rookie scale options on guard Keyonte George, forward Taylor Hendricks, and guard/forward Brice Sensabaugh. The team also exercised the fourth-year rookie scale option on center Walker Kessler. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not released.

League sources say the Jazz are looking to package the 29th and 32nd choices to move up in the draft, and a few of those sources say that Utah’s intentions aren’t just to consolidate those two late picks but to move up from no. 10. Who might Utah be targeting? That much is unknown, but I’d be looking for a backcourt partner for Keyonte George: Stephon Castle? Devin Carter? If the Jazz stay put, Holland’s relentless mentality seems like a fit, too, although he doesn’t provide playmaking.
Today, we got some interesting info from Ben Anderson at KSL, who shed some light on what that trade would have cost the Jazz, and it was Keyonte George. It’s on the Jazz Notes Podcast and it’s a little before the 38:00 mark. Here’s what Anderson said: I will tell you that there was some talk about Dejounte Murray to the Jazz at the trade deadline and it was going to cost the Jazz Keyonte George and the Jazz said no.
