Great warm welcome with a tea served in our room. Staff is very gentle and provides good service. They can arrange transportation towards sightseeing or the city easily and for reasonable prices as they have deals with local drivers. Rooms are cosy and clean. The food is very good as they make it fresh everyday. They ask you to order your dish a few hours in advance so that they enough time to prepare. Feels a little bit like spending the nice at your family where mother is cooking :)
Do not have any point which I did not like. Weather can be chilly so its comfortable if you have sime warm clothes

I really enjoyed the location as it was in a quiet area surrounded by nature and at the same time very close to the city. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, smiley and helpful. The room was nice, cosy and clean with a balcony ovelooking the mountains. Will definitely go there if I go to Nuwara Elyia again.
Liked everything about the hotel but guests should think of bringing warm clothes because Nuwara Elyia is quite chilly during the day and cold at night.

When we came there we felt warm welcome, they had a clean and comfortable room and it made us feel homey. The staff was extremely helpful and caring. En av de anställda, Raj eskorterade oss genom te plantaten. food was excellent with professionell service. And it takes about ten min to city centre.
It was pretty cold at night, so I think they should have a better heating system.

Excellent staff and very good food... clean and cozy room. The manager, Raj, is a trained chef, cooked a fantastic dinner during the night we stayed and also breakfast the next morning. This is definitely value for money!
They don't have room heaters/double glazed walls... can get cold at night. But i guess, this applies to most of the places in the region..

Hill Breeze Hotel is a small, new hotel situated about 6 km outside Nuwara Eliya, up a rather steep lane. Although it is very easy and quick to get into town by local bus (about 20 rupees) or tuk tuk, it is isolated and there is nothing nearby except other houses. However, the manager, Raj, is a trained chef and as well as providing a cooked breakfast in the morning he cooked a fantastic dinner for us the night we stayed. He was extremely welcoming and we learnt much about Sri Lankan culture and local history as we chatted with him after our meal. He also arranged a tuk tuk for us to visit a nearby tea plantation. Our room was lovely and clean, as was the attached bathroom and everything worked. It is very good value for money and Raj is a charming host.
The only negative was that heating has not yet been installed in the hotel and as the weather was cold, wet and windy in Nuwara Eliya when we visited it was a little chilly.

Staff is nice and food is good (especially Sri Lankan curry).
As the location is up in the mountains it can be quite cold at night, there are no insulated walls and double glaze windows, but applies for most places in the region.

Quiet location, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was really good. The room was comfortable and clean, with extra blankets. The wifi was a bonus!
Further out of town then we thought.

Personel attention of staff. Very friendly blokes.
Toilets got wet very quickly and were difficult to dry.
