Good article review

Thanks for sorting out the lead issue in the good article review of the 2008 French Grand Prix. Another GA towards the Insane Idea! Darth Newdar talk 07:42, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Rudolf Caracciola

You did a great job, so I didn't need to comment. (Maybe I should start saying stuff like that in review pages? I've been reluctant to clutter reviews, but a one-liner saying "looks good" might not go amiss.) I wish all editors shared your enthusiasm and ability for this stuff; currently some are objecting strongly in Wikipedia talk:Featured article candidates to the idea that featured article images should have alt text. Eubulides (talk) 07:15, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Caracciola

I'll have a look - as ever, there may be a short delay...Hope it goes well. 4u1e (talk) 08:34, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Nothing really in that edition - there are obits for Karl Kling and Manfred von Brauchitsch with a mention of the latter taking a victory 'meant' for Caracciola. I'll scan through some others, perhaps the year is wrong. 4u1e (talk) 16:31, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see. It's von Brauchistch's obit that's being picked up. 4u1e (talk) 06:08, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Am I stupid or what... thanks a lot for this Apterygial. ≈ Chamal talk ¤ 11:47, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

No worries. Must be something to do with how the preload works. Apterygial 11:53, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

You're welcome

No problem on the FA review for Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/Rudolf_Caracciola/archive1. I feel I was able to provide an objective opinion since I'm not familiar with Grand Prix from that era (or even ones now in Formula 1 since I'm not an F1 fan). The only time that I followed F1 was around when Senna died. I was planning to ask you for a peer review on a featured list that I'm helping to finish up now; I'll ask you when we're done. I do have a GA that failed at FA and I was wondering what your opinion would be about a second go at FA. Would you do a FA-level peer review for Alan Kulwicki and place the review in a section on the talk page? I've done a little editing but not much since the failed FAC in May 2008. It's definitely no rush, take weeks or months if you need! Royalbroil 02:22, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

We've prepared List of Daytona 500 pole position winners as far as we can. Would you please peer review it at the Featured List level? I would like to nominate it in about a week and I might ask someone else to review it. Royalbroil 04:49, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Caracciola

Congratulations and thank you very much - although my help was rather sporadic! It's good to get more articles from the history of the sport, I think. 4u1e (talk) 19:13, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Thankyou very much for your comments and support at the FAC for the Battle of Grand Port. The article has now passed, and your interest and comments during the process were much appreciated.--Jackyd101 (talk) 21:57, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

2009 Japanese Grand Prix

If uou have watched, seen or heard the practice session you would see it. It hasn't been on the news yet as it it so early in the morning. --Troggy3112 (talk) 06:31, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Then cite it to that. I'm assuming you are talking about the BBC coverage, which I don't have access to. Autosport is still saying he is simply resting before qualifying tommorrow, as is the BBC's website. Apterygial 06:36, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I have left a list of improvements for the article on its talk page. A bit of rolling up the sleeves and getting to work is required, but it can be done. What images do you have from the race? That would be a definite help. Alex finds herself awake at night (Talk · What keeps her up) 03:10, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Latest G1GP

I find it weird, why did you change the Template:Latest F1GP to the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix? The Race has not started yet, but the Qualifying does. If you want to change it, please change it during or after the GP. Feel free to reply me back at myUser talk. KembanganGreen User talk. 07:25, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, so you means that you change it early and laterly you will get scolded? that's weird (and funny) Hahaha. KembanganGreen User talk.

Hey. Would you still consider this article to be GA quality? Seems lke it to me, but thought I' get a second opinion from someone more well versed in writing these sorts of articles. Wizardman 20:30, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Alright, thanks. I'm going through all the old GAs for WP:GA Sweeps, so I'll probably reassess it shortly (got 4u1e working on another article;don't want to review all the F1 article at once and overburden the project). Wizardman 00:15, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Thankyou. Great work on F1! Also, I think "tourists" is alright as it's used in FA cricket articles. I'll get to work soon. Thanks again. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me!

"Tourists" is probably passable, after all it literally means "those who tour", but I'm not super keen on its use, and when it's just as easy to specify the team name, you may as well do so. Apterygial 05:01, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the main article bit. Sorry I didn't understand before. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 01:30, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Cricket Archive is reliable. Give YellowMonkey (talk · contribs) a buzz if you want it explained further. Better than I can. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 03:05, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Not intending to be pushy but have you found some things I can tweak ... I don't think I've missed anything? :) Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 04:39, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh, thanks very much. Yes agreed. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 05:54, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Lang

Well, he's certainly not a bona fide champion as Caracciola was. What about leaving the 1939 title as not having been awarded? That is factually correct.

And regarding Rosemeyer, I can only plead insanity. I know he was an Auto Union man and I can't explain his inclusion! Readro (talk) 23:53, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

OK, I'm happy to go along with that. The 1939 season page needs changing over as well I think. Readro (talk) 00:02, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Red Bull and Toro Rosso

Sorry to have got that wrong. It's a pretty easy mistake to make, however, when the links to each name take the reader to the same article! 87.224.74.143 (talk) 11:15, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind me using your template in my userspace.--Midgrid(talk) 21:04, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Incidentally, please could you remove 2007 Australian Grand Prix from Portal:Formula One/Selected article, as it's no longer a Good Article? I'd do it myself but I don't want to mess up the portal by mistake.--Midgrid(talk) 21:08, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your peer review! I've addressed (or answered) all the points, but I was wondering if you'd check the alt text I've added to the images, to check that they make sense?--Midgrid(talk) 15:18, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I suppose I'll nominate it for Featured status, but unfortunately I don't really have enough free time to deal with a FAC until the Easter holidays.--Midgrid(talk) 18:23, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
