Welcome! Hello, Alpedio, Melanie Hughes here. Please don't delete Gender Through Comic Books. I wrote comments on the appeal. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Melaniehughes (talkcontribs) 19:28, 19 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Alpedio, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Richard Muhlberger, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Enfcer (talk) 22:17, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Richard Muhlberger has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. License tagging for File:Cover of "What makes a Rembrandt a Rembrandt".jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cover of "What makes a Rembrandt a Rembrandt".jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information. To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:06, 1 January 2012 (UTC) {{helpme}}[reply]

Speedy deletion of "You Wish Day"

[edit]

A page you created, You Wish Day, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, organisation, or web content, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Calabe1992 16:23, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Following Atticus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

One-line article, tagged for notability since March

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Fayenatic London 16:39, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Secular Review

[edit]

If I'd written an article of that standard as my first Wikipedia article, and then two minutes later found it had been defaced by ugly and, frankly, unnecessary tags, I probably wouldn't have bothered coming back. Please encourage new editors - especially obviously good ones - and don't bite them or scare them off. And please remember to sign your posts on talk pages. Attack page

[edit]

I deleted Husham ghani as a straight-up attack page against a minor and blocked its creator: when you see that sort of thing, don't soft-pedal it: attack page authors should be clearly warned and the articles tagged and blanked so they will be deleted right away. Acroterion (talk) 15:29, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Recent tagging

[edit]

You have tagged Le Livre du Voyage for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#A7. This criterion does not apply to books. (I don't know why, but that is the consensus of the community.) However, as the page is blatantly promotional, WP:CSD#G11 does apply.

You have also tagged Abel Trujillo for deletion under WP:CSD#A3 as having no content. In fact, the article did have content, but then the author blanked the page, making it eligible for deletion under WP:CSD#G7 instead.

Bottom line -- please be careful when selecting the criteria for speedy deletions. Inappropriate tags may result in inappropriate actions. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:59, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note from JGuerine

[edit]

I do not understand why it is forbidden to add a page about a book, as Wikipedia have many pages about books. The pages i created present the books. Thanks for helping me understand Jguerine (talk) 21:02, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is not forbidden to add a page about a book. It is forbidden to add a copyright violation such as a direct translation, and it is also forbidden to use Wikipedia for promotion. I have left a message on your talk page. Peridon (talk) 21:32, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Richard Muhlberger

[edit]

Hi, I'm Krenakarore, thanks Alpedio for creating Richard Muhlberger !

I've just tagged the page, manually, for still having some issues to fix. This page needs to be more factually based. You may want to research the person more, and add some more info. The article is a stub, so this means that it needs to be largely expanded... good luck!

The tag can be removed by you or any ther editor once the issues mention are addressed. If you have any objection, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Krenakarore TK 14:34, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tarcisius Van Bavel

Hello, I've removed the speedy tag you added to Tarcisius Van Bavel, as it credibly asserts notability as a renowned scholar. You can always take it to AFD if you disagree. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 14:29, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Editor to Editor

[edit]

There is nothing promotional about the submission for 1021 Online. Informational/Historical content brief to the point. We've been avid supporters to Wikipedia and in generalization all entries on persons or businesses could be looked at as promotional. Historical content was used just as directed. As an editor if you would like to tweak the entry that would be cool but it is NOT reading as promotional. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Orphaned non-free image File:Cover of "What makes a Rembrandt a Rembrandt".jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Cover of "What makes a Rembrandt a Rembrandt".jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:14, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
