Inhibition of Prostaglandin Synthesis as a Mechanism of Action for Aspirin-like Drugs

Abstract

Experiments with guinea-pig lung suggest that some of the therapeutic effects of sodium salicylate and aspirin-like drugs are due to inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins.
