Bei den Prokaryonten schwimmen ausnahmslos alle Organellen im Hyaloplasma. Bei den Eukaryonten sind es nur die plasmatischen Organellen, während der Zellkern durch die Kernmembran vom Grundcytoplasma abgetrennt ist.
