Abstract

One of the defining characteristics of the globalized, technology dependent world we live in today is the rapid development of diverse technologies. Hence, organizations should recognize the need for knowledge management through Communities of Practices which are defined as “a group of people who come together to share common interests and goals, with the aim of sharing information, developing knowledge, and developing themselves both personally and professionally.” The paper explores the findings from the research and development of Virtual Community of Practice using Human Performance to Enhance Innovation Competency and Innovation for High Performance Organizations. The researcher made use of qualitative methodology by interviewing employees and executives from a leading digital service organization.
