Thanks guys. I did let her know to change her address with eBay. While
in transit, she messaged me and told me she had moved. I'll probably
just cancel the transaction and get all my fees back. Doesn't go down
well, but not worth the bad karma.
I had the same thing happen with FEDEX. Their explanation was that they
use volume pounds, not actual weight. It just seems like the shipping
calculators should account for that.
This will ship, it's the shipping class you're chosing, as dbfolks said.
It's not necessary to add all that extra to the measurements, the
shippers go by volumne these days, so you're just increasing your cost.
