The Cisterna is centrally located and surrounded by several means of transportation in Rome, including the Trastevere train station for a direct route to the Fumincino airport. The Trastevere area is surrounded by restaurants, shops, banks and local produce. It is a section of Rome that never sleeps, and one can find people walking about at all times of the day or night. The staff is very friendly, and a breakfast is included in the price of the hotel. It is within walking distance to Ancient Rome and the monument sites. The staff is knowledgable as to transportation and directions around Rome.
The hotel is not on a common street, which may cause some initial confusion. Upon arrival though, you will soon forget the confusion and enjoy the quaint district and all it has to offer.

Great lokoalizacj in Trastevere. A huge number of charming cafes and bars around. A perfect base for exploring the city, walk to Forum Romanum about 10 minutes. 3 minutes to bus stop to Termini station. Clean rooms, friendly service.

Prisvärt o perfekt läge, många prisvärda restauranger, tex Carlo Mentas runt hörnet (enkel italiensk mat), 3 rätters o en flaska husets vin, 33euro för 2 pers (2012), alternativt favoriten Aristocampo på via della Lungaretta, 3rätters o flaska vin för ca 80euro 2pers.
Beds was a bit to firm. Breakfast was pastries and coffee, I need bread and ham to be happy

Very friendly staff. Situated in a narrow back street in central Trastevere.
Room was very dirty and poorly maintained. The radiator and de air extractor in the bathroom had been removed. Large cobwebs in the room; dirty cups, not cleaned for months, in the bathroom. The receptionist asked a load (tax!) of 20 euros if we wanted a bill of our stay. I Think he wante the money "black".

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, smiling, I liked them a lot. The location was good for sightseeing, restaurants and transport (to tram, train, aiport). The price was good for the location. Warm, comfortable.
Cleaning was slightly less than sufficient (bathroom and floor).

Excellent location. Steps from Pizzeria & Bar San Calisto and S. Maria in Trestevere.
Bumbling manager gave us a room with someone else's belongings then a dark and loud first floor room as a replacement. Don't bother with the mediocre breakfast and coffee. Head aroundthe corner to Bar S. Calisto.

The room was very basic but clean. They fixed the shower straight away when we mentioned it was faulty. It was in a good location for walking everywhere.
We were on an outside room adjacent to the road and it was very noisy well into the early hours of Saturday night so no sleep. The breakfast was very basic.

This is a small family-owned and family-run hotel, with a very solid well- established feel about it. The location is excellent, assuming one wants to be located in Rome in Trastevere - good transportation, near the river, not in the middle of the most tourist-y section of Trastevere but very conveniently near it.

Lovely staff, very helpful. Great location for walking all over Rome. Not posh but comfortable and clean. We had a quadruple room which was plenty big enough for four friends travelling together and we had the bonus of a balcony - no view but a great place to open a bottle of wine in the evening sunshine. A bit noisy at night but only because we had the windows wide open - we were blessed with fantastic weather. Little shop just round the corner, plenty of places to eat at a very reasonable price. Simple but very adequate breakfast with capacinnos made to order! Excellent value for money if you just want somewhere to return to after a busy day sight seeing.
Don't expect 5* luxury but a great base.
