Everything is perfect, good value, wonderful hotel overall. Its rooms are beautiful with a fireplace and views towards the beautiful garden, for instance for a such wonderful stay. The staff is very-very nice, as well as host.

Convenient Location

We had a great time just walking around this place and our stay was awesome! This place is right in the heart of the city. Plus, it's super close to highways, a forest 🌳, and a nearby beach. It was so easy to get around from here!

The Casa Do Populo was a charming place that I thoroughly enjoyed. The old wine cellar turned shared living room was a unique touch and added to the overall ambiance of the hotel. The garden was beautiful and provided a peaceful setting for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with wide hallways and a spacious bedroom that offered a lovely view of the garden. The owners, Joao and Paula, were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that my every need was met during my stay.

If I could ask for one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be to have a more comfortable sitting room. While the shared living room was a fascinating space, the distribution of furniture could be improved to create a cozier and more inviting atmosphere.

I felt like I was living in a forest with hiking trails and fruit trees. I had so much fun playing table tennis and lounging by the outdoor pool. The renovated house was charming and the free WiFi was a bonus.

Oh, and who doesn't love the smell of a fireplace lingering in the room? Definitely a treat for the senses.

There is a slight drawback regarding the smell of the wood-burning stove/fireplace in the room, which may be bothersome to some guests.

Our stay at Casa do Populo was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and taken care of by Paula and Joao. They provided us with fantastic recommendations for activities and dining options, making our stay truly memorable. The apartment was cozy, spacious, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities we needed. The beautiful gardens surrounding the property were a delight to explore, and we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool after our hikes. Despite being close to Ponta Delgada, the residential area was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a restful night's sleep. we can't recommend Casa do Populo enough for a truly enjoyable stay in Sao Miguel.
