Biography:
We are an online volunteer community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures. We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.
Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.
You can search my images using my ID#
1218 and the
Advanced Search. You can also search it using my initials, lks or lke, with the following terms true, ant, larva, nest, egg, butterfly, wasp, fly, lacewing, etc. Some words don't work in the search engine, so I have started updated my identifiers to have a hyphen. You can search my more current images using lks-moth, lks-beetle, lks-fly, etc. Eventually they will all include the hyphen.
I have an Elementary Education Degree, but have no official training in entomology. In the years I have been contributing/editing here I have learned some basic things about identifying bugs in the field. Currently, I am trying to focus on spider identification with a lot of help from
Rod Crawford.
