Nadine Ando
Nadine Ando is the Hawaii Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. She assumed office on May 2, 2023. Her current term ends on December 7, 2026.
The Hawaii State Senate appointed Ando to the Hawaii Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs on May 2, 2023, to replace Catherine Awakuni Colón (D). [1]
Biography
Nadine Ando earned a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1978 and 1982, respectively. Ando's career experience includes working as a partner with the McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon law firm and of counsel with the Fukunaga Matayoshi Ching & Kon-Herrera law firm. She served as the president and vice president of the Hawaii State Bar Association, on the Hawaii State Ethics Commission, and on the Federal Judicial Selection Commission.[1][2]
