John Kennedy (Republican Party) is a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 18. He assumed office on January 12, 2015. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Kennedy (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Georgia State Senate to represent District 18. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

John F. Kennedy was born in Bolingbroke, GA and earned a Juris Doctor from the Mercer University School of Law in 1990 and a bachelor's degree in economics at Mercer University in 1990. Kennedy’s career experience includes working as a partner at James-Bates-Brannan-Groover, LLP. He is on the executive board of Directors for the Central Georgia Council and Boy Scouts of America, and served as president of the Macon Bar Association. Kennedy was elected to the state senate in 2014 and has served as Vice-Chairman of the Banking and Financial Services Committee and Secretary of the Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee. [1]
