Campaign website

Thayer’s campaign website stated the following:

ISSUES

There are many lives changing issues facing every Vermonters in different ways. As I have crisscrossed our beautiful Green Mtn. state, I have met and listened to thousands of Vermonters. Many have shared their stories, their hopes and their dreams all in protecting their children and grandchildren.

I will fight to make Vermont affordable. I have experience in business and economic development and lead an effort in Rutland when I introduce a Market Rutland Initiative. Our State budget is out of control at $8.3 billion dollars when just 15 years ago it was $700 Million dollars, the Democrat Leadership have grown it out of control with their "social justice" agenda and that government must be all things to all people. We are over-regulated and over taxed!

As your next Lieutenant Governor, the eighty-ninth in our State's history. I commit that I will continue to listen to you and work to make changes in State government to make it more efficient and effective and accountable to you. Further, I will work to get government out of your daily lives. We are a Constitutional Republic and that means; Limited government By and For the People, YOU!

PUBLIC SAFETY & CRIME:

We must defend our law enforcement officers and families!

Keeping all citizens safe is governments number one priority and responsibility.

The Progs/Dems are failing every Vermonters safety daily!

We must fully fund our Men & Women in Blue and give them every tool to do their jobs.

Qualified Immunity must not be canceled, we need to retain good officers.

Law Enforcement officers roll up on a 911 call scene, they work to gather the facts in order to do their jobs. They need to get the facts, not attitudes! The Left wants to send in Counselors to defuse the situation.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT in their CHILDREN'S SCHOOLS:

Stop indoctrinating our children, their parents have rights!

Children are our greatest asset!

Children must be taught the Three R's with real, fact-based United States history from 1776 to today with truths and absolutes.

Parent involvement in their child's education is paramount to the structure of the family unit and access for every child's future.

VT & US CONSTITUTIONS:

Our Constitutions must be preserved and respected.

"WE THE PEOPLE" means a lot to many Vermonters.

Our Vermont Constitution originally written in 1777, revised in 1971 and adopted in 1793, as the Nations 14th Star is law!

Letting illegal, undocumented people vote is unconstitutional and wrong to every Vermonter. We are a sovereign nation with a rule of law that must be respected. We must preserve these documents! [3]
